About Us
Heavenly Days Events was started in Steamboat Springs, Colorado by Angie and JD Robinson. Both born and raised in New England, their love for travel and adventure took them around the world, and ultimately inspired them to follow their dream of starting their own business.

Growing up in a small town in New Hampshire, Angie appreciates a genuine connection, a good laugh, and any reason to gather with friends and family. From a young age, Angie enjoyed being the group planner from camping trips to holiday get-togethers, international travel to dinner parties. As a business major at the University of New Hampshire, she learned the communication and organizational skills that enable her to work with clients to bring their ideas to life. After graduating college, Angie spent the next decade working in the resort industry in Steamboat Springs, Colorado gaining experience in catering, convention services, event management, and marketing. Angie’s intimate knowledge of vendors, contacts, and resources have allowed her to work with some of the most recognizable resorts, venues, and businesses to create memorable events.
Before founding Heavenly Days Events in 2018 Angie left behind everything to hike the Appalachian Trail for five months with her husband, JD. This trip inspired Angie to start her own event planning business. The planning required for such an extensive backpacking trip, the strength necessary to keep going when the trail was difficult, and the sense of accomplishment, made Angie realize her skillset compass was pointing her in the direction of event planning.
When Angie is not keeping busy creating some of the best weddings and events in western Colorado, she enjoys time in the great outdoors with her family and dog Goose, the Heavenly Days cheerleader and overall good boy.
Meet JD
JD Robinson is co-owner, business manager, and the primary lifter of heavy things for Heavenly Days Events. A native of Maine, JD attended the University of New Hampshire and was lured to the Colorado mountains soon after graduating with a degree in Hospitality Management.
A born salesman, JD cut his teeth in the hospitality industry selling ski vacations at the base of the ski area and now helps to lead the sales effort for a local natural foods company, in addition to his role at Heavenly Days Events. Starting a family business has been something Angie and JD talked about since they were just dating and Heavenly Days Events is truly a dream come true.
JD enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, and spending time with his family in the Colorado mountains.
Meet Rebecca
Rebecca moved from her home state of California to the Yampa Valley in 2019 and instantly fell in love with the natural beauty and tight-knit community that Steamboat Springs offers its residents. Through her non-profit event planning work, Rebecca met Angie and joined the Heavenly Days Events team in 2020.
Rebecca assists with pre-event planning as well as on-site management for the day of your event. Her ‘can do’ attitude, rational mindset, and quick problem-solving skills make her an invaluable member of the HDE team!
When she is not working with HDE or other local organizations, you can find Rebecca enjoying the outdoors with her partner, Patrick, and their dog, Juniper.
Meet Leigh “Mom”
Born and raised in New Hampshire, Leigh serves as mom, grandma, and greatest supporter to the team at Heavenly Days Events. Her early career consisted of property management, real estate sales, and utility management before retiring with thirty-two years of experience and expertise in business.
Leigh received degrees from the University of New Hampshire in merchandising and Child Family Services. Leigh also served many years in Rotary as secretary and president.
These days, she enjoys family, travel, knitting, reading, and most importantly, being a grandma.
Meet Julia
Julia grew up on the slopes of Mtn. Werner, camping in the Flat Tops, and exploring the amazing trails scattered through Routt County. Like many others, Julia caught the “Yampa Valley Curse” and returned to Steamboat after finishing her degree in Human Development & Family Studies from Colorado State University.
Since moving back to the Valley, she has worked for several nonprofits, loving every opportunity to collaborate with organizations and businesses in the community. Her eye for detail, love of aesthetics, and adaptive nature drew Julia to event planning. She handles pre-event planning and on-site management for Heavenly Days Events and enjoys the process of getting to know individuals and their vision for their special day and bringing it all to life!
Julia recharges with days of skiing with her husband Michael, hiking with her dogs, and baking for friends and family.
